1) Start with about 14 inches of 3/4 inch pvc pipe. Cut into one 10 inch and one 4 inch section |
2) Taper the inside edge of one end of the 10 inch piece using something like a Dremel.with a drum sander attachment. This should be at a very shallow angle, but be sure to stop short of making a sharp edge. When done, smooth with sandpaper |
3) Sand the outside edge of one end of the 4 inch piece. Again, stop just short of making a sharp edge. When done, smooth with sandpaper |
4) Drill holes in the non-tapered end of the 10 inch piece. about 5 rows of 8 holes evenly spaced. These holes let out excess pressure evenly to prevent a popping noise and provide more stability. |

6) Cut the end of the pump assembly off using something like a hack-saw (or a Dremel with a cutter wheel) |
